๐ Anatomy of a Message That Mobilizes | The 3 Vs Framework
Part I: Breaking Down Freedoms, Family, & Futures with the BAC
Welcome Back! ๐๐ผ
The political messaging is heating up and we are taking the lessons from Anat Shenker-Osorio's messaging team to craft a messaging frameworks that connect and moves people to action whether it's for the election or beyond. Read on for more...

This month, I'm really excited to collaborate with the Bay Area Coalition (BAC), a coalition of 51 voter outreach organizations who help Democrats win up and down the ballot. If you're ready to get involved in the election their website is filled with volunteer opportunities, trainings, speaker events, and other resources. And you can catch my Southwest Swing State Election Roadtrip on there too. ๐คฉ
I've heard from many non-profits as well as voter outreach volunteers that knowing the right message to use for each issue can feel daunting. When it comes to persuasion and creating change, it's easy for communicators to second guess themselves. We know the reactionaries are trying to make us feel that too! To help us out as we near the home stretch of the election, I'm featuring the BAC's Messaging Library to showcase the 3Vs framework that can be used across any issue to help galvanize support for creating change.
There are three things I love about the BAC's Messaging Library:
- It uses the 3Vs framework that was developed by renowned messaging expert Anat-Shenkar Osario and team at ASO Communications who have been instrumental in Democratic victories.
- The 3Vs work! The framework is backed by lots of research. Anat's approach to message testing and research has allowed for smart and rapid testing so organizations can be nimble and responsive to our rapidly changing media environment.
- It's really easy to use! View their one-page How To Guide.
