Conversations Creating Change
Persuasion work to shift our collective world view away from harmful systems can be really challenging. It requires that we connect with and bring in folks we might not agree with. In our current social media era, division is much more profitable.

My conversation with Elizabeth Chur about her book offers many insights into shifting perceptions that lead to persuasion. Elizabethโs direct conversations and the research behind motivational interviewing has helped her talk with hundreds of voters in the Central Valley, which sheโs doing right now!
'The Joy of Talking Politics with Strangers: How to Save Democracy, One Conversation at a Time' is practical and beautifully written book to help folks use the power of conversation to create lasting change. I hope our conversation sparks some curiosities for your messaging strategies!
