Community is the answer. We hear it often but it can be hard to hold onto amidst the daily grind. That’s why we’re (safely 😷) organizing more in-person gatherings in the Bay Area for all the wonderful characters that make up this magical place.

I finally arrived in San Francisco in 2018 for many reasons, most of them were from stories. Vertigo, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, The Birds, Star Wars, Tales of the City, and yes even The Princess Diaries. Stories gave me permission to live authentically in all of my queer, hippie, radical, indigenous/Latino, geeky, spiritual, & creative parts. What stories make up your Bay Area?

Heart-first Organizing for Liberation
At the roots of change agency, we believe that the path to liberation is more than just protests and voting. Change doesn’t always come in the most expected places. California Farm Workers, The Black Panther Party, and centuries of indigenous organizing show the power of gathering, food, art, & community.
