🏜️ Casa Chavez

Bienvenido 👋🏼

a Casa Chávez! Our work at the roots of change agency and our larger organization, Knurdology, is about creating lasting liberatory change.

Change doesn’t always come in the most expected places. Cesar Chavez, The Black Panther Party, and centuries of indigenous organizing show the power of food and gathering.

I Can Vegan-ize That!

🤠 as a kid in Texas

I loved all the foods of the Southwest. TexMex, New Mexican green chile, fajitas, pozole, guacamole, & my family’s favorite recipes.

As the climate crisis has intensified, I’ve turned to more sustainable practices and became vegan in 2022. Now, I want to offer the culture with the sustainability and share sustainable, vegan, & plastic-free alternatives to our old cultural favorites and other global cuisine.

This new offering is a love story to my family, ancestors, & the mother Earth we call home.

What’s on the Menu?

As our ancestors did (not too long ago!), our menu items are based on what’s local and seasonal. Browse our current treats & purchase below. Be sure to include the name of the item & add shipping if you are outside the meet up area (BARTable Bay Area).
