🌱 We're Going Dark

Hey y'all, 👋🏼

At the roots of change agency, we love storytelling and uplifting the untold stories & voices that our modern media won't. We believe this is crucial work to fighting the colonial forces we face today.

Sadly, we are facing the threat of going dark.

I've self-funded our media ecosystem and podcast with some support from paid members and occasional donations, but I am unable to do so now. Without support from our community, I will be closing our media ecosystem (& podcast) next week.

Despite the prospect of losing something I've built for 6 years, I am not worried. My past has been all about media & tech, but my path ahead is not online. It's in community. Tech, advertising, & media are tools, but not the only tools to build towards liberation.

As I say, "a trickle can lead to a waterfall"

Our media ecosystem is for all of us. We desperately need healthy media that is uplifting amazing people and organization's doing good, transformative work. The goal of fascism is to keep us depressed and not acting. the roots of change podcast is meant to build hope & action.

I hope that we can bring back our media ecosystem in the future, but for now, I just want to say to everyone that has read, supported, & loved the roots of change media ecosystem...
