Popping the Manosphere:
Understanding Patriarchal Shame Cycles
The mansosphere is all the rage lately. The Netflix docuseries has brought the interconnected digital web of toxic patriarchy infesting the internet since at least 2020 to the public view.
What was humming under the surface before the 2024 election is now being talked about at brunch and at the dinner table. The bubble has burst (or like AI and the stock market, about to). The masks are off and we're all the 'Charlie Day It's Always Sunny' meme connecting the dots and seeing the toxic pipeline that boys are dropping through like a rushing, spiraling water slide on a hot summer day in Arlington, TX.
What this new awareness will do for masculinity is a question for our time.
